Bible Studies

Catholic Bible Studies

St. Matthew Catholic Church has many Bible studies in both English and Spanish.  The goal of the Bible studies is to learn from Sacred Scripture about God, to love Him more, and grow in community with one another.  Some groups meet at private homes and others meet at the parish.  Below is information about a few of our Bible studies.

Truth on Mondays
Evening Adult Bible Study 7—8:30 p.m.
on Mondays in Room E in the Parish Hall.
We welcome new members.  Bring your bible and join us any Monday evening. Come to the back entrance of the Parish Hall. Come study the Gospel of John in depth and his Letters after that. For more information contact:  Lloyd Maurer 971-245-5283, or Kathy Woodall at 503-615-5798.

Wisdom on Wednesdays
We are a very dedicated group and we invite any adult interested in exploring God’s Word to join us.  All levels of biblical knowledge are welcome!  We read the assigned chapter before class and arrive ready to participate in answering the questions accompanying the text.  Everyone is encouraged to participate, to listen respectfully, and maintain confidentiality with the stories people share. We all take responsibility for our class stepping in to help with leadership, room maintenance, transportation, and anything else that must be attended to.  We share our love of God with one another and go forth to share it with the world.

We meet every Wednesday from 9:30-11 a.m. in room D of the Parish Hall. Please contact Deb Kapfer or 503-628-6349.
