A controversial topic in the media in the last month has been the health care reform package that our president Barack Obama is proposing; one that continues to create controversy and divide our Nation based on political views or affiliation. It is a very important topic indeed, and one that we Catholics cannot ignore. We know that it is not our political views or political affiliation that define our position in moral issues; it is our Faith that defines and guides our views. We are Catholics first, republicans, democrats, libertarians or independents, second.
