Our Parish strives to create an environment where all persons treat each other with dignity, charity, and respect in accordance with Christian principles and the social teachings of the Church. Therefore, our Parish is committed to providing a safe place for all.
We at St. Matthew Church and School are committed to the protection of those most vulnerable in our care – the children and vulnerable adults in our community. It is the policy of St. Matthew to follow the directive of the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit, and the United States Council of Catholic Bishops. Therefore, we require all staff and volunteers who work in any way with children or vulnerable adults to attend the training offered, and fill out and file with the office all of the pertinent forms, which authorize St. Matthew to perform a thorough background check. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the church or school office.
