Though I identify as being from the Northwest, I was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1997, but only spent the first 5 years of my life there. My family moved states a lot, but we came to the Northwest about 10 years ago, and have been going back and forth between Oregon and Washington since. Currently I live in Hillsboro with my family and hope to stay in the area for a long while.
I greatly enjoy the outdoors, walking rosaries, traveling, playing the guitar, crafts, photography, and of course, spending lots of time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. He is my best friend and my greatest love and the reason why I am here. From a young age, Christ has been present in my life. I was born into the Catholic faith, and was taught how to pray by my mom, who is one of the most amazing, strong Catholic women I have known.
My earliest memory with God takes place about 16 years ago. I remember locking myself in my closet often and turning off the lights, in case God was shy and didn’t want to show up with too much light around, and just sitting there and talking with Him – I use to spend what felt like hours just conversing with Our Lord. He was my best friend as a child. As I grew older, I experienced some hardships and during my early adolescent years,
I really distanced myself from the one I had once called Friend. And from when I was 12 until I turned 15, I tried so hard to keep Him away; I didn’t want a personal relationship with Him anymore. But more and more I realized how much God was pursuing my heart. And at 15, I heard Him very clearly call me back to Him. I came back to the Church, so on fire with my faith! In college, I had the opportunity to participate in the Oregon State Newman Center and was set even more on fire! I desired to share my faith with others and bring them to Christ. It’s been 3 years since I left OSU, and my love for the Lord continues to grow each day. I want to share this love and joy with everyone I encounter and especially with our youth! So, it is a great honor to be able to serve in this ministry and I look forward to witnessing the greatness of the Lord in each one of
our youth of this parish!
